- First, I make a pencil sketch (I *love* pencil)
- Next, I add touches of color (usually with pastels)
- Then I scan the sketch, painted paper, fabric, and Japanese paper into the computer
- Finally, I combine all of these elements in Photoshop, where I clean up the image and add more colors
